Bike week is coming and it's the ideal opportunity to get yourself around on some wheels whether you're a regular cyclist or a weekend Boris Bike-ist.
There are various free cycling events happening in London over the week which runs from Saturday 14th - 22nd June. Our top two tips are below.
This Bike Week is the UK’s biggest mass participation cycling event, with locally organised events taking place all across the country. Bike Week experts (Dr Bike’s) will also be on hand at every event to help get bikes, which need to be repaired, back on the road (for free) as well as offering advice and tips on how to do simple bike repairs. 15th June: Southwark Park Life Ride
Come and join the wonderful 9 mile gentle ride through leafy Southwark taking in the best the borough has to offer. You will ride past the boating lake, the velodrome, the oldest exhibition house in the country, the oldest boys school in London - you could even take a quick dip in Brockwell lido if the weather is nice.

There will be six start points: West Norwood (from 12.30pm; departing at 2.30pm) Clapham Junction (from 2.45pm; departing at 3pm), Tower Hill (from2.30pm; departing at 3pm), Kings Cross (from 2.30pm; departing at 3pm), Regents Park (from 2.30pm) and Hyde Park (from 2.30pm).
