Welcome to Gorgon City, the ticket read. And as soon as we walked into Electric Brixton, we were into Gorgon City, and it was a vastly populated place. Absolutely rammed with people, we arrived as Karma Kid was on stage, just catching the end of what appeared to be an incredibly well received set.
Then came Crazy P. With a position in the sound booth, we watched with awe as the house legends performed as if they were recorded... utter perfection and an incredible joy to watch.
Gorgon City's set came around 1am, and the light show was sensational. With the duo mostly heads down, and a somewhat lacklustre hype-man, the lights perfectly complimented the duo's sensational and irresistible beats, and of course the occasional crowd salute. These boys are seriously clever, and it was a pleasure to be a part of the their sold out London show.
With guest features on stage from Yasmin and MNEK, the boys pretty much made every person who had visited Gorgon City happy, and with the night going on until 6am, we're pretty sure those people got happier and happier. (Click here to watch MNEK: http://instagram.com/p/nRhYENBXhc/ )
A definite duo we will catch again, bring on summer festivals. These boys are killing it.
Gorgon City wowed us with the debut smash, 'Real', which featured the beautiful, and uber talented Yasmin. Their deeper housier vibes moved the individual producers away from their solo projects and really cemented GC as a new project, and a talent in it's own right.
Now, the super production duo have teamed up with that classical, cum, electro band of the moment, Clean Bandit. We're loving the strong string element, which gives this release that added uniqueness.
The result of this team-up is something incredibly summery and hugely addictive. We just hope these boys continue making music; our ears are more than happy.
Skip this recording through to 3 minutes 56 seconds if you want to hear the track. You can also listen to the full interview with Annie Mac for news on Festivals and Ibiza. (Glastonbury & Bestival to name a few. Ibiza residency at Carl Cox's tuesday night, as well as Amnesia and Ibiza Rocks.)
Love. Uk. Talent.

Introducing - Jacob Banks - with some fresh new vocals that are a treat for our ears!
‘KIDS ON THE CORNER’ is Jacob's latest single, taken from his forthcoming EP ‘The Monologue’, which is out on December 10th (not long now!)
Some of you may have heard Jacob's musings across youtube in the past year. He has reared his talented head in the ‘Are You In’ Adidas competition in 2011, coming first and winning some prized studio mentoring time with the one and only Plan B.
Following that success , Jacob went on to win the Birmingham stint of the MOBO Unsung competition. He consequently featured on the MOBO tour, alongside big names such as 2012 newcomers Clement Marfo & The Frontline, and that Scottish beauty, Yasmin.
Now comes the shocking news - Jacob only taught himself to play the guitar - TWELVE MONTHS AGO! That's right, you heard us right. This Birmingham boy is an absolute genius, and one to keep your eyes on for the future.
His line: “I’m Jacob Banks and I sing songs. I find new ways to tell old stories” - fantastic that's just what is needed right now! Jacob gives us something fresh and exciting, to round off an amazing year of music.

Last night saw the launch of the new Sony Xperia T Bond handset as used by the man himself in the upcoming Skyfall movie. To celebrate, a Ménage à trois of urban artists took to one of London's most exclusive stages at The Box night club in Soho.
Nestled behind a very unassuming door on one of the capitals most notorious streets, The Box frequently plays host to the worlds most high profile party enthusiasts, featuring stage shows along far more risque lines. Tonight however, urban violinist Adaggio kicks off proceedings accompanied by a DJ and percussionist playing snippets of well known chart topping foot tappers to the delight of a slightly bemused audience.
Next up, rising star Yasmin proved she had the pipes to rival any current contender. Having previously worked with Labrinth on her second single Finish Line, Yasmin is fast becoming a name to look out for. With hints of Jungle sewn into a pop heavy tapestry of tunes she got the tiny room on their feet before the final act. DJ extraordinaire Goldie closed the evening with a set of classic tunes venturing well away from his usual Drum and Bass perimeters.
Guests included Olympic champions Pete Reed and Simon Mantell, as well as British rapper and presenter PW amongst others.
