Fiona apple at SXSW liveFiona Apple is back singing live at SXSW after a five year interlude since her last album Extraordinary Machine.

The NYC singer performed at Austin's premier venue Stubb's and in her set she included the debut of a few new songs.

The video that you can see here is Fiona singing new track, Anything We Want. It's not the best quality but what video filmed on a phone of live music uploaded to Twitter is?

This was a hotly tipped show for SXSW with a large crowd turning out to see it. At one point she laid her head on her piano for about 45 seconds, then lifted it slightly to watch her guitar player finish off a song.

Fiona Apple is due to sing again tomorrow at Pitchfork's official SXSW showcase which also features the-Dream, Nicolas Jaar, Charli XCX, Grimes, and Purity Ring.

Her new album with the longest most random (is this really the name of the album) name we have come across, The Idler Wheel is wiser than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords will serve you more than Ropes will ever do, is due to be released in June.
