After being the talk of the town throughout summer, the truly unique Magic Roundabout has raised the bar once more with exciting plans to transform the site for winter, into a tented, heated, ‘Decades’ inspired wonderland.

Stepping through Old Street tube station you’ll take the stairs through Time and Space and pop up into a homage to the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The brand new themed areas include a slightly bonkers version of Woodstock with some serious flower power and a super sexy 1970s Playboy lounge, complete with sheepskins and log fire. The Main Bar will be an all out 80s disco with futuristic art and palm trees and finally, the VIP Area will take you right back to the early 90s; oh the patterns, oh the Fresh Prince colours!

The winter relaunch also sees Smokin’ Lotus take the reins from White Men Cant Jerk who are off to pastures new. Smokin’ Lotus is the creation of Rosalind Chick who uses old family recipes as inspiration for her BBQ menu. In just two years Smokin’ Lotus has risen through the ranks and was voted no 42 in Time Out’s top 50 street food traders 2017. The main ingredients are smoked in Rosalind’s home-built smokehouse and the 11 hour slow smoked beef brisket with hoisin sauce and Japanese-style creamy potato salad mash cannot be recommended highly enough. Smokin’ Lotus will complete the award winning street food offering for winter which already includes Skins and Burger Bear.

Throughout Autumn and winter the venue will play host to a huge range of events, highlights include an immersive Halloween party on 28th October in collaboration with Budweiser, a Liquid D&B party from Sine with Commix headlining on 4th November and our Wasted Chic Christmas Market on 5th December. The venue is also available for private hire throughout the season and makes a very original Christmas party venue for groups of up to 500. You can check out the full line up of events and the Christmas Brochure, plus make enquiries via the website:

Savoury delights will include Mini Beef Burgers with Onion Marmalade in Brioche Buns; Smoked Chicken, Chilli, Avocado and Mango Tortillas, Mini Handmade Scotch Eggs with Piccalilli; and Chicken Satay served with a Peanut Dipping Sauce and Sesame Seeds.

Sweet treats will include homemade Macaroons; exquisite Mini Coffee Éclairs; and a Lemon & Mango Rice Pudding with Toasted Coconut. Strawberry & Pistachio Tarts, and Mini Raspberry Victoria Sponges will provide a nod to the traditional British Afternoon Tea.
