Thea Green, Lizzie McQuade, Roksanda Ilincic, Georgina Coulter and Sophia Webster led the list of business women and fashion elite that joined the launch of the second season of ‘Women in Making’. The panel of Makers were quizzed about their experiences in setting up their own businesses providing inspiring nuggets of information for all the aspiring business women sipping champagne at 57/59 Monmouth St, Seven Dials, London.

‘Women in Making’ which debuted in Autumn/Winter 2013 is inspired by women celebrating their femininity, creativity, strength and sheer diversity. As part of the ‘Women in Making’ campaign Triumph will reach out to a number of creative influencers dubbed ‘Makers’ across a variety of creative disciplines in a celebration of true craftsmanship and expertise.

The Women in Making campaign is both emotive and empowering and continues to provide a voice and a platform as a champion of women in creative business. Women are invited to showcase their inspirational business idea via the triumph.com/womeninmaking website creating their own social profile to champion their creative nature via their inspirations, and their craft via examples of their work and proposed business plans.

The campaign will culminate in June with the ‘Women in Making’ winner being announced and awarded a £10,000 prize from Triumph alongside a year’s worth of mentoring from the makers panel & the chance to be stocked within Fenwick Bond St.

compagnie des vins surnaturelsCompagnie des Vins Surnaturels, Seven Dials will be the latest venture from Experimental Group - the collective minds behind iconic cocktail bars, wine and restaurant establishments in New York, Paris, London and Ibiza, including Experimental Cocktail Club and Experimental Beach Ibiza.

The new venue, situated in the heart of London’s Covent Garden, will open in winter 2013, offering a stunning, uniquely selected wine list, alongside a complimenting lunch and dinner menu.

With an ideology that has brought much success to the Experimental Groups other establishments the team of erudite wine experts at Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels will bring the signature joyeux bordel to the London wine scene giving the wine bar its own ‘savoir faire’.

Staying away from mainstream wines found in so many bars, the team has selected and continues to scour the globe for original wines made by small producers. From the hand laboured vineyards to the glass the wines on the menu work in harmony with nature creating clean and tantalising serves. With the dynamic wine list offered at Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels frequently changing, one can expect new and interesting references on a weekly basis, sufficient to keep even the most discriminating wine aficionados curious and coming back for more.

The lunch and dinner menus at Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels will take inspiration from French flavours while incorporating ingredients from local British purveyors. The menu will be designed to pair exquisitely with the wines offered.

Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels will open its doors for service in December 2013. Lunch and dinner will be served daily.

The annual London Design Festival came to a close yesterday after 9 days of bringing cutting edge design to the streets and venues of London.

One of the trends that caught our eye was the design work that took to the skies of London. As part of the celebrations seven designers took on the challenge to move their design work off the ground and into the skies of Seven Dials and Covent Garden and the results were pretty spectacular.

As you can see in the pictures below artists such as Vic Lee, Faye Toogood and Dominic Wilcox suspended everything from ladders to birdcages for the pleasure of passersby. Each piece is linked to the history of the area adding another dimension of creativity to what they did.

Check out some of the highlights below.
