It might not be something we like to admit, but we’re all in serious relationships with our phones.

We trust them with our most personal questions, photos, stories and secrets. They never leave our sides. Most of us have slept with our phone1. And nearly 1 in 5 people would be more willing to give up seeing their significant other, showering or sleeping than having to go without their smartphone for a weekend1. Now that’s devotion.

But let’s face it, most of the time, these relationships are one-sided. Our phones simply aren’t as devoted to us as we are to them. They desert us with a dead battery when we need them the most, embarrass us during important meetings, and pester us while we’re driving, demanding we take our eyes off the road to pay attention to them. And needless to say, most of the time, our phones rarely match our personal style. No wonder less than half of people say they are happy with their phone.

At Motorola, they believe everyone deserves the choice of a better mobile relationship. One that is personal, fulfilling, stands the test of time and fits your budget.

Your phone should know you by the sound of your voice, but also realise when you want to be left alone. It should offer a customised look that perfectly complements your individual style. It should keep you safe with easy-to-access, hands-free control. It should grow with you, learning your preferences and habits, getting better over time. And it certainly should be with you for the long haul: durable, water-repellent, and backed up with lifetime customer service.

They have just announced the next generations of our their most popular phones — Moto G and Moto X — giving you the mobile relationship you never knew existed. The new phones feature best in class cameras, meaningful software experiences and personalisation options – all at exceptional prices.

The new Moto G: The phone that’s always there for you.

The new Moto G is ready to weather any storm with you, literally, thanks to IPX7-rated protection and Corning Gorilla Glass, so you’re safe from accidental drops into water2 as well as unsightly scrapes and scratches on your display. With an all-day battery3, it won’t ever bail on you when you need it most and its 13 megapixel camera is ready to capture new memories with a flick of the wrist. Personalise Moto G with Motorola Shells, available in a variety of colours, and now, complement your personal style even more with customisation options on Moto Maker4, our online design studio where you can pick the colours, memory and accents to make your phone as unique as you are. New in 2015, we’re expanding Moto Maker into Brazil, where Moto G was the best-selling device for a year.

The new Moto X family: Finally, phones that love you back.

Announcing two editions to offer you even more choice:

Moto X Play With up to 48-hours of battery life and a water-repellent design, Moto X Play will love you back day and night, rain or shine. And living up to its name, get all the power you need for gaming, streaming and multi-tasking at the speed of life with a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ processor.

Moto X Style Looking for a phone that doesn’t compromise, offers powerful performance, and looks gorgeous all at the same time? Then the bold new Moto X Style is for you. We certainly wouldn’t call it “Style” if it didn’t complement yours, offering more customisation options than any other phone on the market. Make yours a true reflection of you by choosing from a variety of vibrant colors or authentic materials including new Saffiano leather and real wood with unique grains. Immerse yourself in entertainment with an expansive 5.7-inch edge-to-edge display that’s enhanced by rich stereo sound. And when your battery needs a boost, the world's fastest charging smartphone5 will get 10 hours of power in just 15 minutes of charging with TurboPower. With all three of these new smartphones, we’ve used some of the most advanced camera technologies available, so Moto X Style now boasts one of the best cameras in the industry. You can take crystal-clear photos and video with the 21-megapixel camera or look your best in selfies or video chats with the 5-megapixel front-facing camera featuring a wide angle lens and selfie flash.

You can’t get away from it, almost everywhere you look people are on their phones -tapping and swiping away into oblivion, barely looking up to cross roads or get off at train stops.

We’re not sure about you but we get pretty addicted to the games, maybe not Candy Crush saga but many like it.

Some of our favourites are of course Angry Birds - but the space edition - which is just jam packed with satisfying sounds and visuals for something so simple as well as Fruit Ninja. We have swiped our way through hours with this one and some people are so into the game they decided a real life version should be made.

Lesser known games include Timberman which is free and so frustrating in a good way that you'll be swapping to wood chopping scores with friends in no time and Daddy Long legs - why not put yourself into the shoes of these strange wobbly creatures for a bit on your ride to work? It should also be mentioned that the illustrative side of it is pretty nice too.

Smartphones and windows 8 are now facilitating better and better game play whether you’re playing the modern day equivalent of Snake, something all together much more involved that looks like it should be on a Playstation or having a little flutter on one of these betting apps.

Hey - if you’re going to spend that much time on it might as well get a possible win right?

We’re quite liking Friday Thrills, a game from Mansion Casino that could give you a pretty good weekend. Pus currently they are offering $20 bonuses to players just for playing during the week, not to mention a £5,000 welcome bonus when you sign up - yes that’s not a typo - not bad for a bit of fun on the side that’s not coloured globules heading down your screen! It may only be Monday but we’re fans of looking forward to the weekend - especially on drizzly mornings.

So if you do have twitchy thumbs get on over to Mansion Casino as there may be a game there that both floats your boat and your bank account, it may just pay for your lunch once you get into work - now there’s something Candy Crush can’t do.

Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL will help you be a doer, giving you the freedom and flexibility to choose when and where you want to get things done. London is a busy place and living in it just adds more business to a hectic social and work life. You need to grab every little second to make sure you are getting things done if you want to be productive and push forward in your plans!

Certain features of the new Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL will certainly help with this. It gives you a long-lasting battery(we all know that a phone battery dying is just the end), great imaging features(what's a phone if you can't use it to share all your 'do-ings'), single and Dual SIM for 3G and LTE, and signature Microsoft experiences such as Office, OneNote, Outlook, Skype and Cortana built in meaning that you can really get on with tasks on the go.

We think they sound great and we're itching to test one out!

phones4uThere'll be no more phones $ U, or you, or you, as the phone shop closes its stores and goes into administration.

Phones 4 U blames foul play of EE and Vodafone and others for not renewing contracts at the last minute but let's face it, Carphone Warehouse has been putting in much more effort lately. Now EE and Vodafone have said they will buy a few hundred of the old Phones 4 U Stores making it pretty convenient for them.

Do we really need these go-betweens any more? We would argue no - it just makes life more difficult.

The real pity however is that with 362 stores being shut 1,700 jobs are being lost.

The launches of the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S last year brought much excitement to Apple’s loyal fan base worldwide. The features of these latest iPhone models enhanced the way people communicate with each other. But the geniuses from Apple still have more to offer with the much anticipated release of the iPhone 6, and it’s inevitable that many new mobile phone contracts will be taken out when the phone is released.

According to some reports, a mass production of iPhone 6 will occur in July and these phones will be released in September of this year. Much anticipation is circling around the techie world and various rumours about the upcoming iPhone 6 are sprouting up everywhere.

iPhone fans should enquire about the mobile phone contracts by Virgin Media and reserve an iPhone 6 unit way ahead of time. This is because stocks often run low whenever Apple launches a new product on the market.

Let’s have a look at what we can expect from Apple’s latest iPhone offering:

Improved Resolution and Enlarged Screen size

Reports are spreading that Apple will be launching two iPhone 6 variants, both of which will have enlarged screens and improved resolution. The first design is rumoured to have a 4.7-inch display with a maximum resolution of 1334x750. Compared to the iPhone 5S, which has a display of 4 inches with a resolution of 1136x640, the new model will be an improvement. On the other hand, the second iPhone 6 variant will focus on many customers’ need for a larger display, and so will feature a screen size of 5.5 inches with a maximum resolution of 1920x1080.

Breath-taking Design

It is also thought that the upcoming iPhone 6 will have a sapphire display as well as a breath-taking design. The iPhone 6’s specifications are expected to include:

  • Integrated bezels for manageable phone handling: Since both designs will feature larger displays, these bezels will be useful in navigating all of the phone’s features.
  • A right side power button: It seems that Apple is beginning to appreciate how its competitors integrated such a feature to allow for more manageable handling.
  • Improved battery life: Compared to the iPhone 5S, the iPhone 6 may boast an additional 50%   battery life to maximise the phone’s usability.
  • Upgraded camera: The iPhone 6 will retain the iPhone 5S’s 8MP camera. The highly anticipated new feature is the integration of an upgraded optical image stabiliser. The functionality of this upgrade is still to be elaborated on.

The Surprises Never End

It’s getting increasingly exciting as reports also indicate that the iPhone 6 will have the following internal features that will excite all iPhone fanatics:

  • NFC support: This feature is integrated to facilitate Apple’s endeavour towards mobile payment solutions such as Google Wallet.
  • Touch ID, Apple A8 processor and 64GB design: These features are designed to elevate information processing and downloading experience.

These are just some of the exciting features we can look forward to as the official launch of the iPhone 6 looms closer. Prior to this, it is expected that more updates and rumours about the iPhone 6 will materialise. People with existing mobile phone contracts should ask their provider whether an iPhone 6 upgrade could be part of their next renewal.
