Shrove Tuesday is the day that precedes Ash Pancakes are now forever associated with Shrove Tuesday as it is a sort of all-in-one way of using up your eggs, milk and sugar before Lent.

This year Pancake Day takes place on Tuesday 28th February Celebrate Pancake Day at Boxpark Shoreditch with Crêpe Affaire Tuesday 28th - 2nd March on The Green!

Pancake Day (28th February) has crêped up on us, and three of London’s latest eating spots are on hand with pimped up pancakes guaranteed to satisfy a sweet tooth.

For a freakin’ good alternative pancake fix, Burdock on Finsbury Square will be whizzing up all that’s naughty – New York cheesecake, cookie dough, sticky pancake dough and berries, for good measure – into a thick and indulgent Freak-Pan-Shake (£6) brimming with guilty pleasure and topped with three mini pancakes.

For those in search of the ultimate stack, try London’s hottest rooftop restaurant, bar and grand terrace Aviary, or Nova, Victoria’s one-stop-shop – the brand- new Greenwood, for an American-style spectacle.

Fluffy pancakes will be stacked high and loaded with gooey chocolate chip cookies, cookie dough ice cream, chocolate sauce, peanuts and crunchy honeycomb (£7).

Exclusively available for one day only, you’ll struggle to find better – and bigger – anywhere else in London.

See you on the flip side!
