On Monday 7th July MASH are celebrating their Birthday in style, with a feast of sumptuous steaks!

You can get involved in the celebrations too, because to mark the 5th birthday of MASH Copenhagen they're offering steak lovers half price steaks throughout July. Much better than a birthday cake, wouldn’t you say?

MASH Copenhagen is the original Modern American Steak House, its success meant that MASH were able to come over to London to establish their first UK restaurant, MASH Brewer Street, which opened in 2012.

Get to MASH throughout July to enjoy any of their great steaks for half the price, and help wish MASH Copenhagen a very happy birthday.

Available from Sunday to Thursday, this unmissable offer is valid on all MASH steaks; choose from the juiciest bone-in ribeye, the indulgent Australian Wagyu, the melt in the mouth fillet and much more.

Terms and Conditions: 50% discount on steaks can not be used in conjunction with any other offer. Offer not valid on Fridays and Saturdays.

burgerOk so we know that this said free dessert yet there is a picture of a burger but the free dessert is to celebrate MASH's new burger so it does make sense, honest.

In celebration of the launch of their brand new Mash burger, London's MASH are offering their customers something truly tempting... a free dessert!

All you’ll need to do to get your hands on a totally free pud is tweet a photo of your delicious burger and include their twitter handle - @mashsteaklondon. Show the tweet to your server and the dessert of your dreams will be yours to enjoy...

The MASH dessert menu offers something for every sweet tooth - from the truly indulgent white chocolate crème brûlée to our retro Crêpes Suzette with vanilla ice cream. Or if it’s something fruity you’re after why not try their lemon cake - it’s addictive, we can promise you that!

There's also organic ice cream and sorbets by Rossini Organics, in almost every flavour imaginable! Choose a classic vanilla or chocolate, or opt for something a little more adventurous - the liquorice flavour is not to be missed.

All you need do to get involved is go to Regent Street Online, plan your route, reserve a time at your chosen venues, gather your party and enjoy.

For example your evening could look a little like this -

Steak horse meat

What with the current unfolding mess over the use of possibly contaminated, possibly illegally acquired horse meat coming onto our shelves there is a very definite interest in exactly where our 'beef' is coming from and what better way to see than by eating steak.

We were already highly into our good steak cuts last year but now with the horse meat scandal a whole new lot of people want good beef that is a good cut so that no horse meat could have possibly got into it.

This however isn't great for the rest of us as it means that demand goes up and with it the price of our beloved steaks.

T-Bones and sirloins are going to be most effected. Smithfield butchers have confirmed that these cuts have gone up more than 10 per cent in the past week and could continue to rise by as much as a third hereafter.

The interest towards steak is shifting as people feel that they can clearly see what they are eating as opposed to burgers, meatballs and spaghetti bolognese.

If the costs of these cuts continue to rise expect to see that reflected on the menus of Hawksmoor, MASH and more soon.

Just remember though, if prime steak gets a little too much you could always try a horse steak.....
