What really matters? Aside from jobs, money, business... How to remember to keep a level head and spend time on what matters - family, self care, friends and loved ones. Conversation and learning to always be asking questions. Listening. Dealing with disappointment well and using setbacks to propel you forward.

Louise Orwin - Award Winning Live Artist - Co-Founder Lemonade & Laughing Gas

Louise is an award-winning writer, researcher and theatre maker. She makes research-driven theatre projects about subjects that are close to home, hard to get your head around, and need to be spoken about. She makes work about what it means to be a woman today, in a fast-moving, media-saturated world.

Her last two shows received great critical acclaim. Pretty Ugly, which delved into how teenage girls interact with the internet today, caused a bit of a media stir in 2014 and was featured widely in national and international press, on the radio (Woman’s Hour, BBCR4), TV (Fusion News, ABC, US), and broadsheet press (Daily Mail, The Telegraph, The Independent). A Girl and A Gun, her most recent show looks at women and violence on film, and has been featured in The Guardian, Vice Magazine, and on the BBC Radio. She is currently touring both shows throughout the UK and Europe.

Louise likes to make work that is provocative and brash, intimate, awkward at times, and generally filled with a heady dose of pop culture. She makes work that gets under your skin, and will stay there days after you’ve left the theatre.

‘I can’t decide if Louise Orwin is a lunatic or a genius’ (Jimmy Richards)

‘An extraordinary performer – a magnetic presence’ (Carole Woddis)

‘[Louise’s work] demands and deserves to be seen’ (Exeunt)

Niall Green - Second Screen

Niall Green established Second Screen in 2014. He became immersed in the music and entertainment industry from a young age. After attending numerous gigs and events, Niall realised these experiences were amazing and unique, but there was no dedicated social space for attendees to share the buzz and excitement online. At just 20 years old, Niall developed Second Screen into a white label service which allows brands, events and artists to create bespoke applications in a turnaround time of only seven days.

To date, numerous apps have already been created, including tie-ups with pop sensation Anastacia; as well as several prominent UK festivals, including The Isle of Wight Festival, Liverpool’s Sound City, Horizon Festival and Fusion Festival - with further apps set to roll out throughout the year. Music is at the heart of Second Screen, but as the lines between music, art, film, fashion and sport continue to blur, Niall is excited about the prospect of expanding across these industries.

Breakfast Bites with Charles comes to the Rooftop Cafe in London Bridge

The event started in 2013 and has grown to the point where I'm keen to reach out to new audiences. The next event on Sunday 16 March (2 sittings of 36 covers each).

Charles has been doing a weekly breakfast club from my house for a while now and last September he started doing larger events at the Rooftop to test a concept for a laid back brunch event serving innovative food, a cut above your brunch norm.

They serve a 6 course tasting menu (3 canapes, fish, meat and dessert) where all dishes have a nod to breakfast but using ingredients and cooking not normally seen till later in the day. Think eggs benedict but with crab cakes and mango chutney, kedgeree with scallops and a spiced tomato chutney or Ginger Pig brisket, home salted and cooked for 48 hours and served with a beetroot hash and hour long eggs.

Charles is a big believer in long, lazy meals on a Sunday and brunch is so often rushed. He looks to string it out into a proper meal with a great selection of paired wines and cocktails and the Rooftop Cafe provides an excellent relaxed atmosphere.

Tickets are £30 which include the meal and a welcome glass of Prosecco.  Find them here
