burger and lobsterThe ever popular Burger Lobster gets a new opening this month in Harvey Nichols capitalising further on the success they have made of their openings in Mayfair, Farringdon, Soho and the City.

There's no doubt this fifth opening of Burger & Lobster will be a big hit.

The new restaurant opened in October and can be found on the fifth floor of the Knightsbridge store.

You can expect the usual straight forward menu with offerings of either burger or lobster (and chips) for £20 including. There are added options of the California burger - a patty between two iceberg lettuce leaves and the usual lobster rolls.

Burger & Lobster opens at Fifth Floor Harvey Nichols, 109-125 Knightsbridge, SW1X 7RJ in October 2013.

The Detox KitchenIt may be well past new year and we may have well and truly buggered up our new years resolutions but there is surely an argument to keep trying throughout the year?

With this in mind we came across the new Detox Kitchen at Harvey Nichols. We know that detox by its very nature wounds deeply boring - we all pretend to be excited by a carrot smoothly and some grains but few genuinely are. Luckily the Harvey Nichols kitchen really is making it appetising.

The amazingly healthy, yet incredibly appetising, salads, juices and snacks were previously only available to order but they went down so well that now they are available for everyone.

You'll find the Detox Kitchen on the fifth floor, with it's own unique brand of wheat-free, dairy-free and sugar-free juices, salads and snacks.  The Salad Bar includes dishes such as Beluga lentils, shallots, garlic, aubergine, paprika, coriander and cumin and Black barley, edamame, red pepper, spring onion, cashew nuts, pumpkin seeds, lemon, coriander and chives. The juice bar serves more than just fresh carrot juice, the range of fruit and vegetable juices on offer also include apple, beetroot and celery and Gorgeous Green Goddess, cucumber, mint, celery and apple. Breakfast and a selection of healthy tasty snack bags are also available, whilst the wheat-free beetroot and cacao cake is ideal as a guilt-free afternoon treat.

The innovative menus have long been championed by the likes of Pixie Geldof, Henry Holland and Agyness Deyn who have had the food delivered to their doorstep.

“I’ve lost count of the number of clients who’ve completed our detox programme and wished there was somewhere they could pick up our food every day,” says Lily (the creator of Detox Kitchen). “They want to share our food with their families, and enjoy the best of The Detox Kitchen – even when they’re not detoxing. Well, now they can. Harvey Nichols has always been a place where people can discover something wonderful, new and distinctive. Now that applies to my food too.”

the-cambridge-satchel-compLike many you probably love the Cambridge Satchel Company, not least because it was started by someone's Mum who used Google to her best advantage.

Now of course her Cambridge Satchels are everywhere with collaborations and events. The newest event is happening at Harvey Nichols today through to tomorrow.

Over the next two days if you buy a Cambridge Satchel Company satchel you can get your bag embossed for free. There is a large range of colours available – for both bags and embossing – and you can even meet the creator herself - Julie Deane.

Julie will be around between 11.30 and 2.30pm to chat about any satchel related queries of interest you may have.

Crystal's have been popping up on accessories everywhere from bracelets and rings to necklaces and earrings for a few seasons but no piece has made quite the impact of a Decadorn Druzy Crystal Ring.

These show stopping jewels can be obtained from Harvey Nichols for the princely sum of £75 and are available in a selection of colours from natural, earthy hues to bold neon pinks.

What's most amazing about these Decadorn Druzy rings is the one of a kind details that naturally occur in the crystals making them the most fascinating and individual jewellery as well as a talking point.

Reminiscent of the chunky plastic rings from the late 80s and early 90s the modern cut of the Druzy brings a tired trend bang up to date all whilst keeping true to the shapes of nature, leaving us with just one question - which colour to pick?

We all know turning up in the same dress as anyone at any time can be an embarrassing thing. We're also not sure what is worse, being the one that looks better in the same outfit or the one that looks no where near as good.

But these things aside we don't think we would go to quite the same lengths to eliminate our same dress wearing enemy as the girls do in the latest Harvey Nichols Christmas Advert.

Harvey Nichols has caused controversy in the last could of years with it's Christmas ads but it looks as though this one will spark nothing but fun as two women are seen trying to defeat each other during a Christmas party as they have noticed they are wearing the same dress.

Watch it above and let us know if you would do the same given laser eyes?
