We went to the uber-decadent Quaglinos this weekend to sample their Seafood Platter - a dish only on offer until the 13th October for Seafood Week (yes run).

Small and perfectly formed the Seafood platter is a well-balanced £35 for two and can work easily as a starter for a full-on meal or a light afternoon 'somin somin' to get you through a few glasses of vino.

Just like Quaglino's itself the platter is smart and cool with just enough of each 'Fruit De Mer' balanced on top of a tray of ice. Nibble on caviar, oysters, crab, clams and prawns - perfectly washed down with some bubbly we might add.

Quaglino's really does have a great atmosphere, whether you get there in time for the seafood platter or not. Things always feel a bit special in this restaurant that no matter what time of day it is you feel like you are just on the cusp of transcending into a brilliantly debauched evening.

The Fruits De Mer Platter is part of Quaglino’s ‘season of the chef ’ which celebrates all things Autumnal and Seafood Week! What more could you ask for!

This October, Quaglino’s will join D&D London’s ‘Wild Table’ campaign offering a month o exclusive events and menus that celebrate the best of Autumn’s ingredients and National Seafood Week.

From 6-13 October, Quaglino’s will showcase it’s exquisite ‘Fruits De Mer’ seafood platter
in celebration of

National Seafood Week. Offering the ultimate taste of the sea, the

frog legs in londonHave you ever woken up in our fair city and thought, "Mmmm, I'd love to try some frogs legs today".

Well now we can tell you just the place to go if that's the case. Novikov in Green Park (just behind the tube) is both an Asian and Italian restaurant (on two different floors, not a fusion) that offers the long little leggies on their menu.

If you have never tried the dish before then this is likely a good place to get started. The frogs legs come as a starter option and are breadcrumbed and served with a garnish of chilli's and spring onions in true Asian style.

The taste is good, as most say - similar to chicken but we would suggest you don't look at the shape too much or try to pick them up as you would a chicken leg, by the bone as they kind of flop, like a frogs leg would we suppose, as it's a little off putting.

But there you have it, when you next wake up and wonder where you can go to get your London frog leg fix - you'll know just the place.
