I'm not into SNES myself but I know a lot of you lot are and if you are, this is a pretty cool event.

A free SNES gaming lounge is coming to Ace Hotel Shoreditch on the  15th April.

To celebrate the final day of London Games Festival, the team will be setting up a SNES Gaming Lounge in the Ace Hotel Lobby from 12-4pm, giving gamers and nostalgic SNES enthusiasts the chance to play a few of the classics including Super Mario Kart, Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Hyper Fighting and F-Zero on a big screen.

If you rack up the most wins you'll also have the chance to win a £100 bar tab to spend at the recently revamped Lobby Bar.

If you're interested in taking home the trophy just need to RSVP here: https://www.acehotel.com/calendar/london/london-games-festival-snes-gaming

On Thursday 8th March Bubblewrap Waffle will celebrate their first birthday with a limited edition Bad Bubblewrap (in partnership with fellow market trader friends Bad Brownie), Buy One Get One Free all day, bespoke balloons gifted to the first 100 customers and a competition launched to win a Bubblewrap every month for a year.

Bubblewrap started as a theoretical University project, began trading at Berwick Street market, moved into a tiny premises on Wardour Street and then exploded across social media and generated global print, radio, TV and online news and by their first birthday it is estimated that 175,000 Bubblewraps will have been sold.

The reinvention of Hong Kong’s classic street snack invented in the 1950s to use up broken eggs unexpectedly captured the imagination of London and beyond. This resulted in Time Out London’s highest ever performing Facebook video (21 million views, 138,000 Shares, 141,000 Likes and 148,000 comments), queues of up to three hours that snaked down Wardour Street from opening day never dropping below an hour wait for the first nine months, and the consequent boom in copycat stores including Rupert Street’s Bufle that has opened and since closed chasing the trend.

Their celebratory Bad Bubblewrap is made with original waffle base and vanilla gelato topped with popcorn, chocolate crunchies, chocolate sauce and a Bad Brownie Egg in a nod towards the heritage of this classic street snack. It is priced at £7.99 and available fromThursday March 8th until Sunday March 12th.

We're not sure if this will turn in to a food trend or not..(probably not). But new to the London foodie scene are - Vinda-chockie-loo cupcakes... and if you're unsure about the combination of chocolate curry and cupcakes not to worry - you can try them for free at Primrose Hill Market!

These Vinda-chockie-loo creations have been put together to celebrate National Curry Week and National Chocolate Week (9th-15th Oct). They incorporate the aromatic flavours of India with creamy variants of chocolate in light and oh-so-delicious sponges. So far so good..

Celebrating the launch of Chopped, the show that uses the unlikeliest pairings to bring together the tastiest dishes, Food Network has partnered with culinary wizards Flavourtown to create the Vinda-Chockie-Loo Trio.

The tantalising trio unites some of the key ingredients in Vindaloo – such as turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and chilli – with the warm, smooth and buttery flavours of chocolate – including ganache, rich butter cream, chocolate truffles and even an award-winning brownie. And this magical creation wouldn’t be complete without a chilli chocolate unicorn cupcake; as fierce as its flavour blend!

The competitors on Chopped know all about unusual food combinations as they fight it out to create unique and delicious dishes over three rounds in each show to create an appetiser, entrée and dessert – using mystery ingredients based around different themes.

To try one of the gorgeous Vinda-Chockie-Loo cupcakes, Food Network and Flavourtown will be giving away 100 Golden Unicorn cupcakes on Saturday 14th October at Primrose Hill Market from 10AM to 11AM. They are going to go like hot cakes, so get there fast.

Phillip Luff, Managing Director, Scripps Networks Interactive, UK & EMEA said“Our team is food-obsessed and have absolutely loved creating this heavenly fusion of British favourites to launch the new series of Chopped, where the competitors get to bring together unusual flavour combinations in every episode.

Flavourtown’s Chief taster Mark Brooks said, “The idea of taking two polar cake opposites and turning them into utterly delicious bonkers cake flavours is what we do best and the Vinda-Chockie-Loo Trio is a testament to that! With a focus on flavour, we took all the best spices from the classic Vindaloo curry and combined them with one of the best chocolate and cocoa powders in the world, resulting in a one-of-a-kind creation.”
