On Thursday 16 November, Seven Dials are inviting you to join them celebrating the festive season with the annual Christmas lights switch on, shopping party and sing your heart out with an immersive performance by festival choir Some Voices.

Ticket holders can grab a free glass of Glögg, the classic Scandinavian hot spiced wine from Nordic Bakery at their pop up bar on Earlham Street, with free street food tacos by Monmouth Kitchen on Monmouth Street.

Try your hand at free wreath making on Earlham Street, or take your purchased gifts to the free gift wrapping station* on Neal Street. The lights switch on at 6.30pm will take place around the central iconic Seven Dials monument, which will transform Seven Dials into a festive wonderland to be enjoyed throughout Christmas.

A bespoke musical arrangement has been created for switch on moment by Some Voices, which will see seven festival songs performed including All You Need Is Love, Rocking Around The Christmas Tree, and Stay by this mega-choir. This is set to be one of the largest gatherings of the festival choir collective to date.

Also, opening on the night is the Seven Dials Loves Christmas pop-up, including a Christmas floristry from tea experts, Tregothnan. Here they will sell their traditional wreaths, edible festival garlands and their British teas in baubles. The pop-up will also host a series of free festive workshops at 37 Neal Street, open for three weeks only. Including bauble calligraphy, bespoke cracker rolling, fashion illustration, Christmas cocktails and wreath making, as well as free Seven Dials wrapping paper available while stocks last*.

Priding themselves on their hospitality, the Benedictine monks began the tradition of serving food and wine to Abbey visitors using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, something that award-winning food company Benugo continues to do today. The Cellarium Café & Terrace sits within the ancient cellars at the heart of Westminster Abbey and is the perfect place to immerse oneself in such an indulgent British tradition.

Christmas Afternoon Tea

Skylounge, the rooftop bar atop the Double Tree Hotel, Tower Bridge London unveils its extra decadent Christmas themed Afternoon Tea – with everything festive but mince pies!

If mince pies aren’t your thing or you’ve simply had enough this season already, Skylounge’s Christmas Afternoon Tea, which launched on 1st December is sure to delight. Diners can expect chocolate mousse in baubles, red velvet cakes and delicious seasonal sandwiches, all to be washed down with a festive glass of mulled wine.

The Christmas Afternoon Tea costs £30 per person and includes a delicious selection of seasonal sandwiches, including the traditional turkey and cranberry, smoked salmon and crème fraîche and English camembert with plum chutney; Christmassy cinnamon scones served with Calvados cream and spiced apple chutney; a red velvet cupcake with a rich cream cheese frosting; cinnamon iced biscuits in Christmas shapes; and white chocolate cake pops. What’s more, festive baubles appease those with a sweet tooth, filled with chocolate and orange, and white chocolate and coconut. A warming mug of mulled wine accompanies the afternoon treats, or guests can choose to upgrade to a glass of champagne for an extra £10.

Hush Mayfair, London’s exclusive dining destination and cocktail bar, unveils Classics in the Courtyard, a winter programme of classic film screenings running every Saturday from 1st November to 28th March, hidden in the historic heart of Mayfair.

Transformed into a winter retreat, Hush’s famous courtyard will welcome film lovers with timeless movies and a host of seasonal treats to provide the ultimate cure for those winter blues. Guests can wrap up with bespoke Hush blankets and can enjoy gourmet popcorn, a full a-la-carte menu along with selection of cocktails from the outdoor bar. In addition to winter warmers, the Hush bar has created a cocktail menu inspired by the movies shown.

As guests enjoy the show, they can treat themselves to classic winter dishes from Hush’s kitchen. Comfort food such as Cappeletti Pasta Filled with Duck Confit and Risotto of Tiger Prawns with Curry and Crispy Shallots will be sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate.
