WHO:

After a storming run of performances that has seen the likes of Blood Orange and A$AP Ferg take to the venue’s legendary stage, the Converse Gigs @ 100 Club series is set to welcome ethereal R&B songwriter and producer How To Dress Well for an exclusive show in partnership with NTS - the progressive-thinking London radio station known for offering a unique platform for artists.

Merging ever-surprising production choices and aesthetic detail with a sensual but sincere R&B influence and a deep emotionality, Tom Krell has steadily established himself as one of the most unique and influential figures in contemporary experimental pop music. His new album, due for release by Weird World / Domino in June 2014, takes its influences from artists as varied as Prince, Burial, Tracy Chapman and Lou Reed.

How To Dress Well’s debut album Love Remains was released in 2010 to critical acclaim. Sequel Total Loss followed in 2012, named as one of the "Top 50 Albums of 2012" by music outlet Pitchfork. The Converse Gigs @ 100 Club show will be Krell's first London appearance since Field Day in 2013 and also sees him joined by an all-new four piece band.

Support will come from Glasgow-based producer and Young Turks signee Koreless, who will be performing a very special live set on the night.

Tickets are FREE and will be available exclusively via the Converse UK website from Tuesday 8th April 2014: converse.co.uk

WHO:

Hip-hop is set to hit the 100 Club once again with a performance from rising rapper A$AP Ferg announced for 18th March 2014. A key player on the global hip-hop scene, Ferg will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Joey Bada$$, Nas and Ghostface Killah who have all previously taken to the venue’s famous stage.

Melodic wordsmith A$AP Ferg first made people sit up and take notice with a bold verse on “Ghetto Symphony” from the deluxe version of fellow Mob member A$AP Rocky’s chart-topping album LONG.LIVE.A$AP. Debut single "Work" then followed shortly afterwards, appearing on the A$AP Mob mixtape Lords Never Worry.

His famed Trap Lord project dropped in August 2013 showcasing further collaborations with A$AP Rocky as well as Schoolboy Q. Hip-hop greats such as Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony, Onyx, and B-Real from Cypress Hill also came on board for the record and made legendary guest appearances.

A$AP Ferg has been recognised by Rollingstone.com as an “Artist to Watch” within the A$AP Mob and it is clear that Darold Ferguson, Jr. is currently one of hip-hop’s most promising talents, with another big year lined up ahead. His appearance at the 100 Club is set to be his first solo headline performance in the UK before taking to the stage at Wireless Festival this summer.

Support on the night comes from fellow mob-member A$AP Nast whose verses with American rapper Method Man (Wu-Tang Clan) feature on the A$AP Mob’s latest single “Trillmatic”, released December 2013.

“The core of the Converse brand is creativity and continuing our commitment to support it and the result of this collaboration has been nothing short of boundary-breaking and thus, set the bar even higher,” said Geoff Cottrill, VP/GM of Brand & Segments at Converse. “Each of these artists are masters at what they do and we could not be more excited to share such an innovative track for fans worldwide to enjoy.”

With a rich heritage and long history rooted championing artistic creativity, “Hero” is the ninth track in a prestigious line of singles released in the Three Artists. One Song series. Previous tracks includes 2012’s “DoYaThing” by one half of award winning duo Outkast, Andre 3000, James Murphy, the mastermind behind LCD Soundsystem and the world’s most successful animated group Gorillaz and the innovative track “Warrior” by Mark Foster of Foster the People, pop-singer Kimbra and trendsetting DJ A-Trak, among the collaborations.
