Australian brand, Sportsgirl have a new capsule collection full of dog tooth and check for the ladies.
Richard Nicoll has worked with Sportsgirl to make this, their most fashion forward collection yet. Richard is London based but Australian by birth so who better to team up with the brand for the capsule collection that launches on the 21st March. Richard said of the collaboration 'I am delighted to be working with Sportsgirl on this capsule collection. From the beginning I sought to design a range that felt fresh, young and relevant for Sportsgirl, but was also something progressive, confident and fun.'
Nicoll has certainly achieved this goal with a collection that includes short jackets and thin jumpers as well as smart dresses and trousers.
British footwear designers, T&F Slack and Fin's have hooked up for these new limited edition Derby shoes. That the two brands have teamed up seems pretty perfect to us, Fin's are well known for producing brightly coloured men's driving shoes while T&F Slack have been loved by men with any sort of interest in shoes for years and we really like this pair which retail at £185. The shoes come in three different colours - light-blue leather upper with mouse-coloured sole, mouse upper with electric-blue sole, and grey upper with purple sole - meaning they're bang on trend with the pastel trend which is due to hit the high street very soon. You can pick up a pair from the T&F Slack shop in (32B St Lawrence Terrace, Notting Hill, London).
We all know it's hard to rock a chino pair of trousers, we also all know that they are coming back for the summer so here is the perfect option from Denham and Child of Jago. They bring you, Selvedge Chinos.
Child of Jago is a sort of part tailor part off the peg interesting shop in Shoreditch that has beautiful vintage suits along with brands such as Denham. Denham does denim, rather obviously but they also do a killer pair of chinos in collaboration with Child of Jago. Many problems with getting the perfect chino are things such as the baggyness, the length and we must never forget what shoes to wear. Though these trousers from Denham eliminate a couple of those worries. The prefect fit and baggyness and a great length with small turn up leaning them even further to a summer look. If you really want to look like you are basking in St Tropez do a tuck roll in them to have them hovering at your ankles ready to go paddling in the sea or a rock pool at any given minute.
Last night the new collaboration Pointer range was unveiled at Wood Wood store. The store is in Berlin, BUT you can buy them online so no need to go booking plane tickets just yet. These shoes are a collaboration between English Heritage (now there's a word we can't get enough of) brand Pointer and danish designer Wood Wood, they are suede with a crepe sole and come in two strong colours, purple and green with three sets of optional laces. We are told of this new 'Crago' collection :
'Wood Wood’s intention of the project was to work with a traditional inspired style and give it a fresh twist. The Pointer Crago is just that, a simple and sophisticated lace-up shoe with a stitch-down construction.'
They are avialble now and you can see pictures of the shoes and from the launch below.
You may remember a little while ago we posted about a show called Few and Far between that was a collaboration of all sorts of artists. We now it turns out this is to launch a brand new arty website dedicated to the idea of the collaboration. The site launches later this year and to get free entry to the show (normally £5.00) register to be alerted as to when the site is live. The site has already got a bit of attention with (and don't ask how we know) Dazed and Whitehot magazine popping down to the opening night of the exhibition tonight to interview the curators. The show will then be open on the 8th and 9th of Jan from 10am till 9pm.
