An exciting new restaurant from brothers Stephen and Simon Chan, owners of The Drunken Monkey, is launching in the heart of Shoreditch in early April. Bull in a China Shop occupies a Dickensian fronted pub opposite the Tea Building which will offer an all-day dining concept and whisky bar with a subtle hint to the Orient. The menu offers stand out dishes such as free-range Chinese spiced, whisky glazed rotisserie chicken, black charcoal brioche buns and vibrant superfood salads with breakfast time offering bao buns, fruit and vegetable smoothies and sweet and savoury congee (rice porridge) as well as breakfast classics such as sausage and eggs muffins and eggs Benedict.
The restaurant will be open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a takeaway option available throughout the day for the fast-paced local Shoreditch clientele. By night, the atmosphere will become more intimate with a full dining menu available and a polished copper cocktail bar serving over 30 choice Japanese and Scotch whiskies - including some very rare and special editons bottles - with a three-course set menu option that will run from Thursday to Saturday including two whisky pairings. Sundays will be all about brunch and a classic Sunday roast offering.
