All Dad's love a burger right?! Well the chefs at Percy & Founders and The Lighterman have pulled out all the stops for Father’s Day (Sunday 18th June) next weekend (you're welcome).

Introducing the “Big Daddy” burger, available on Father’s Day only, at Percy & Founders and The Lighterman - with a signature twist from the chefs at each restaurant.

Percy & Founders “Big Daddy” Burger:

Cumbrian native breed beef patty, pork belly, crispy chicken with garlic aioli, cheese, gremolata, baby gem, tomato, pickled cucumber & skin-on-fries.

The Lighterman “Big Daddy” Burger:

Cumbrian native breed beef patty, pulled short rib croquette, cheese, crispy bacon, pickled red onion, smoked tomato aioli & thick-cut chips.




BIRD, the free-range and fried chicken specialists, has added a new seasonal special to its signature burger menu, which incorporates all of the components of a Christmas dinner into a burger.

Available from November 17th to January 3rd, the ‘Christmas dinner in a burger’ is a towering tribute to the festive season, consisting of cranberry-glazed crispy-fried chicken, layered with sage and onion stuffing, and panko-crusted fried brie. The Christmas delight will be topped with a bacon-wrapped jalapeno popper - a spicy alternative to pigs in blankets – and accompanied with a crunchy side portion of freshly-made parsnip crisps. 

BIRD specialises in cooking fried chicken with a strong focus on quality, freshness and provenance – a formula that has proven popular amongst Londoners since it first launched in Shoreditch last year and more recently, it’s second site in Islington last month.

The ‘Christmas dinner in a burger’ is available at both BIRD Shoreditch and BIRD Islington.

Yeah! Burger are inviting guests to bring a tropical fruit of their choice, which they can exchange for a complimentary drink upon arrival, and there’ll also be eating competitions asking diners to down burgers while balancing pineapples on their heads… sounds easy, but you try!

Yeah! Burger is a collaborative project between Hackney chefs Adam Creissen and Scott Hopkins, who met while working at Broadway Market’s much-loved fishmonger Fin & Flounder. Honing their skills at Lucky Chip and Death by Burrito over the past three years, they embark on this next residency after successful summer stretches at Cargo, Glastonbury and Shuffle Film Festival.


If you're a north Londoner, chances are you've been to The Old Queen's head a fair few times, and sat in their sublime lounge area, or watch a live show or two upstairs in the function room. There's even a spot of Karaoke at the very top of the building, for those private partiers.

Since Lucky Chip’s inception in 2012, founder Ben Denner has built up an enviable reputation as having the best burger joint in London. He takes a playful approach to his culinary creations, with names like the Kevin Bacon, the Woody Harrelson and the John Belushi all starring on the menu. But for all of the light-hearted Hollywood references, Ben’s burgers also have the taste to back them up, with their 28-day aged patties packing a hefty punch.

Well now this venue and this food joint have collaborated - a match made in heaven.

 To celebrate the residency, The Columbo Group will be hosting a special Lucky Chip Soundsystem launch party on Thursday 4th June. There will be free burgers! So get yourself along sharpish!

The Crème Egg Burgers are launching at Studio Kitchen in K West Hotel

The burger lab in Studio Kitchen has come up with a fabulously egg-centric creation just in time for Easter.

The restaurant, within K West Hotel & Spa in Shepherds Bush, will be serving up sweet crème egg burgers on the dessert menu and on the new Spring Rocks Afternoon Tea from the end of March 2015 and throughout the spring.

The mini slider burgers are made from a sweet brioche bun dipped in white chocolate and sprinkled with hundreds and thousands. This is topped with the ‘burger’ - a gooey melted crème egg, mascarpone cream, and a good helping of strawberry jelly.

The sliders are priced at £5.50 for a portion of two, and the Spring Rocks Afternoon Tea starts from £22.50 per person.

The Spring Rocks Afternoon Tea will also include other Easter and spring themed treats such as mini Hot Cross Buns, Quail Egg Scotch Eggs, Savoury sliders and Mini Hot Dogs, as well as the more traditional freshly baked scones and loose leaf tea.

On the mezzanine floor above the Bar, Studio Kitchen is an informal eatery with an urban New York vibe. This is continued in the menu which offers a range of US style ‘dude food’ such as Green Chilli Cheese Burger, Buttermilk Chicken Burger and Truffled Mac & Cheese, as well as a selection of modern European dishes.   Edgy city landscape sketches stretch along the walls, mirrored by a quirky wave of banquet seating hugging the back of the room. Sprinklings of filament light bulbs suspended on individual wires add an abstract, arty feel to the room.

K West Hotel & Spa underwent a dramatic interior redesign at the end of 2014, inspired by the cult West London hotel’s rich music heritage and history of musicians staying at the hotel.
