Miami Beach is the latest instalment from Backyard Cinema, the UK's only theme-changing cinema responsible for The Last Chapel, The Winter Night Garden and The Lost World. Not just your average cinema, Backyard Cinema will bring the Miami heat to Borough with a tropical beach and exotic cocktails to accompany screenings of classic films and blockbusters. Ticket holders will exchange city footwear for flip-flops at the door and tropical outfits are encouraged.

In conjunction with Backyard Cinema’s Halloween Movie Special, Benito’s Hat has created The Backyard Burrito. This limited edition crimson creation contains succulent achiote braised chicken, refried pinto beans, coriander and lime rice, red cabbage, pico and is dripping with a spicy scarlet salsa brava made with beetroot, wrapped up in a blood-red tomato tortilla. All the ingredients combined will leave the undead wishing they were back in their graves.

As part of the next instalment from Backyard Cinema, from 31st October – 7th November, horror fans can embark on a four-hour cinematic journey of survival at a top-secret East London location. Even zombie slayers need food, which is why Benito’s Hat will be serving The Backyard Burrito along with speciality deep fried tequila shots throughout the event.

Backyard Cinema are taking over Bethnal Green town hall for two days to deliver a luxurious Christmas film screening series on Wednesday 11th & Wednesday 18th December.

11th December - The Great Gatsby (2013)

18th December - Much Ado About Nothing (2012)

On the night you can expect 360 degree decadence, opulent settings, Art Deco architecture, an exquisite cocktail bar, 100 year old leather and walnut sofa seats, a mouthwatering dinner box from Jimmy Garcia and (Chocolate) Cigarette Girls, blankets, posh popcorn and much more.

There are only 60 seats available per screening so tickets are limited and are £29 each which included the film and a taster box. Just a film ticket will cost you £16.

The luxury hotel where the screenings take place is home to Michelin Star restaurant Viajante, an exquisite cocktail bar and sister restaurant, The Corner Room. The Art Deco architecture mixed with cutting edge design takes you into another world with the screenings being held in the towns original Council Chamber hidden within the hotel.

Customers will relax in 100 year old leather and walnut sofa seats as they enjoy a choice of classic films with a modern twist. Luxury cocktails served with precision and a bespoke Backyard Cinema taster box containing truffle tortilla balls, charred leek hearts with leek ash emulsion and Iberico pork on a paella cracker are an absolute must and provide an indulgent accompaniment to this exclusive experience.
