10-SPA-POOL 2 (1)

It's a generally irritation when booking spas - the two person deals are always pretty extortionate, as are the single person day paces or treatments if you buy them singly. So - this is ideal, and ideal for cold weather too (spas are always warm). But this new app doesn't just offer 241 spa deals!

New app, the ENTERTAINER London allows you to get their hands on over 36 buy one get one free spa deals across the capital.

Londoners can choose from more than 36 treatments at over 12 spas across the capital including 50 minute massages at Spa to you Hilton, Gelish manicures with a glass of champagne at The Athenaeum Hotel Spa, milk and honey body wraps at Health Aroma and facials at Spa Illuminata in Mayfair.

The new ENTERTAINER London app provides users with over 900 Buy One Get One Free offers at 220 restaurants, popular nightclubs and bars, attractions and spas. Customers can save over £60,000 over the 12 month period.

For a limited time only, customers can use the January discount code EBLONDON25 to purchase the app for just £30, a whopping 25 per cent discount off the usual price.

With a one off payment for the year, further highlights of the ENTERTAINER London app include:

  • Restaurants including Busaba Eathai, Belgo, Brasserie Blanc and Smith & Wollensky.
  • Popular nightclubs Mahiki and Café de Paris.
  • Attractions including The London Bridge Experience and The Tower of London.

The ENTERTAINER London 2016 is available to download for free from the App Store, Google Play and Samsung Apps websites now. For further information please visit www.theentertainerme.com

I wanted to run something by you for a feature on WJ as I think it would make a great read and helping us to get the news out will help the London indie business community, something I'm sure you would approve of ;) #MakeNewFriends is all about shopping independent this Christmas - asking people to go out in their communities and #MakeNewFriends by visiting, shopping, eating and drinking at independent businesses whenever they can. The idea is that by sharing these experiences on social networks using the hashtag #MakeNewFriends, we can create a buzz around Christmas which isn’t about lining the pockets of corporate entities but instead about empowering our local communities, independent businesses, sharing experiences and making new friends. More info and video can be found here: https://www.pixieme.org/makenewfriends The #MakeNewFriends movement is being lead by Greg Barden, an ex-royal marine and England Rugby 7's star who founded The Pixie Organisation and the PixieMe app - a community discovery app which puts the spotlight on independent businesses. The movement is also raising money to put back into the independent business community. For every #MakeNewFriends hashtag put out there, the Pixie Organisation will donate 1 penny to their commonwealth fund, which is a pot of money that will be used to give grants to budding business owners. For every new business that signs up to the PixieMe app, £20 will be put into the fund. Once the fund has hit £50,000 young potential business owners will be able to apply for grants to help them launch their business ideas. Veuve Clicquot's new gifting app, allows people to gift a bottle of Veuve Clicquot in London's hottest restaurants - perfect for those looking for a last minute Christmas gift!   It's quite a cool idea if you are looking for something a bit different.
Once the "Click for Clicquot" app is downloaded, people can select from one of the participating restaurants or bars including Balthazar, Cafe Royal and Quaglinos, and instantly gift a glass or bottle of Veuve Clicquot's Yellow Label champagne to friends or family.
People are also given the option to make the gift more personal and fun, by pinging a text, email or video selfie to their recipient to let them know where a bottle is chilling with their name on it!
The app goes live next Monday 15th December.

Regent Street has become Europe’s first shopping street to pioneer a personalised mobile phone app with Beacon technology providing exclusive offers tailored to shoppers’ preferences while keeping their data private.

Regent Street is the first shopping street in Europe to pioneer a unique mobile phone app which delivers exclusive, personalised content to shoppers about what’s on offer during their visit.

The app uses Bluetooth technology to communicate with beacons in each store so that as shoppers walk past, they receive alerts direct to their mobile phone about a range of things, from information about new products and upcoming events to exclusive offers only available to those shopping on the Street that day. Beacon technology is a new innovation which has only previously been trialled by a handful of individual retailers; this is the first time the technology has been employed across an entire shopping street. The app is free to download from the app store.

As well as providing content, the app is also intuitive, building a profile for each shopper so that the content they receive is tailored to their individual preferences.  It will also enable shoppers to better explore what the street has to offer, helping them plan their visits and introducing them to new brands that align with their interests, all while maintaining their anonymity.

The introduction of the app forms part of the £1bn Regent Street regeneration programme being delivered by The Crown Estate, which has already seen an array of internationally renowned brands like Burberry, J Crew, Karl Lagerfeld and & Other Stories and soon to open Watches of Switzerland open global flagship stores on the Street.

David Shaw, Head of The Crown Estate’s Regent Street portfolio said: “This is a fantastic example of how Regent Street is continuing to evolve as the world’s most successful shopping destination, bringing together online, physical and now mobile retailing to provide an experience which delivers across all of the platforms that appeal to 21st century shoppers.”

Paul Lorraine, UK General Manager of Longchamp said: “Success in retail in the 21st century is strongly linked to how you engage your customers in store and online. Regent Street already has a reputation as being the place to be for brands like ours and the new mobile app will bring the digital and physical together, providing an exciting new way for us to speak to our customers.”

The app is being introduced in conjunction with the Regent Street Association, which represents the Street’s retailers.

“We are delighted Regent Street is the first shopping street in Europe to utilise beacon technology.  The retailers have embraced this initiative and understanding it is the ways forward, fully support the digital advancements.  The Regent Street app is ideal as it enables the customer to choose the brands they wish connect to without it tracking their personal data.  This is perfect for Regent Street.”  Annie Walker, Director Regent Street Association.

The app was developed by digital marketing firm autoGraph.
