This July the City sees the arrival of a stunning new destination cocktail bar and restaurant. With innovation at its core, Silk & Grain is poised to set the cocktail world alight with its exciting menu of signature, aged and conditioned cocktails, accompanied by a sizzling British steak-focused restaurant menu.
Bringing flare to the City with its unique, contemporary design, head to the Monday to Friday venue to sip unique concoctions given extra complexity and depth by being conditioned in metal, glass and leather as well as the more traditional barrel ageing process. Head for the ground floor bar and indulge in a City Orchard using Silk & Grain’s barrel aged Bacardi cocktail, Poire Williams, lime and apple juice; or a Moscow Mule using barrel aged vodka. Snack on highlights from the British grazing menu including Clonakilty black pudding ‘scotched’ quail’s eggs; crispy pig’s ears; British cheeses and charcuterie.
From the first floor restaurant expect a selection of different dry-aged steak cuts cooked in a Josper grill, alongside British-inspired mains such as lemon sole with garlic and caper butter; Suffolk cyder soaked, slow roasted pork belly; and heritage tomato, mint and quinoa salad with whipped goat’ cheese and beetroot pickled eggs. A range of homemade sauces, infused butters and grain mustards will also be available.
Add to this a stylish, laid back setting and charming service and going for cocktails in the City will never be the same again.
