starwars to be directed by JJ Abrams

JJ Abrams will be the man to direct Star Wars Episode VII after the much talked about move from the franchise from Lucasfilm to Disney.

There have been many a suggestion of who will direct the next one with Disney at the helm. The choice to go with Abrams has come a little under fire with some thinking he isn't the right man for the job.

However Abrams is no stranger to taking on difficult franchises or nerdy remakes, he managed Star Trek and Mission: Impossible and also did a good job for spin off remakes of Godzilla - Cloverfield, Goonies - Super 8 and The Prisoner - Lost.

And so who will do the script? Well it's being handed over to Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire).

Cue a large pink bear int he place of Darth Vader, Princess Leia's famous buns turning into mouse ears and the lightsaber.2 which includes a nice found footage creating video camera addition, oh, and maybe Tom Cruise.
