photos-48It's always nice to do festive stuff with little ones and Foyles is making it super easy with Snowball, their first ever one-day winter children’s festival.

A great day out either for your little ones or little ones that are once removed. This ticketed event is being held on Saturday 26th November (9:30am – 5:30pmon Level 6 at 107 Charring Cross Road. Expect a day jam-packed with arts and crafts, storytelling - this will be a great one for both festive fun and a bit of learning. If you know any bidding book worms this mini fest will be perfect for them.

9781782118572To both inspire those who are a little older and entertain the younger there will also be author visits – from Matt Haig’s The Girl Who Saved Christmas and queen of historical fiction Emma Carroll talking about her most wintery books, to art activities with children’s authors Jennifer Higgie and Lisa Stickley.

If you can't make this event there is still the chance to listen to readings of The Snowman and The Snowman and The Snowdog at Charing Cross Road on Sunday 11th December (2 – 4pm). These classics are accompanied by Gingerbread Snowman decoration… and the all important tasting afterwards.

You can also meet the huggable Snowman at the Southbank Royal Festival Hall earlier the same day (11am – 12 noon), where Snowman stickers and mince pies will be provided.
