The legendary Red Bull Soapbox Race arrives back in the UK this summer to set hearts pounding and cheers roaring. The event, which promises to showcase the wackiest and most thrilling road race ever staged on UK soil, comes hot on the heels of sold-out Red Bull Soapbox races across the globe in venues ranging from Peru to Paris.

Nerves of steel and a rush of adrenaline combine to create one hell of a ride at the Red Bull Soapbox Race. Taking place on 12th July at Alexandra Palace in London, the entries are now open for your chance to be selected to compete – if you feel the need for speed and like to stand out from the crowd, it’s time to get your carts into gear and apply (details below). Over 1,000 teams applied in 2013, and this year is set to be even bigger.

Among the 70 designs at the UK’s last Red Bull Soapbox Race in 2013 were a fighter jet, a VW Camper Van, a full bathroom suite and even a gigantic Usain Bolt! For anyone wanting to see some spectacular moments from 2013’s competition, you can check out the best wipe-outs and crashes here. This year is set to be even more creative, with events in the 2015 calendar such as the general election and the Rugby World Cup sure to fire up the imagination.

Spectators and drivers alike should come prepared for an adrenaline-fuelled day of thrills, spills and hilarity! Teams are chosen on creativity, personality and ingenuity so fuel your imagination and get ready to showcase your ideas. Applications and designs must be received, via post, by Tuesday 31 March 2015.
