The Secret Garden Party is a magical festival filled with art, interaction, and off piste places to explore. Tucked away in the English countryside, the festival centres around a lake where you can swim, jump on boats and, this year, go out to a mythical pirate boat for a dance.
This year photographer Carys Lavin was at the festival on behalf of Who's Jack. Here she captures the Garden perfectly - mud fights, paint fights, dancing and all the magic in between. Her photographs are beautiful - bursting with energy, light and colour. Happiness in a field personified.
Areas like The Coliseum, Artful Badger and Where the Wild Things Are offer sunken dance floors surrounded by hay bales and hideaways in the woods. If you are one of the lucky few you will receive a visit from one of the infamous 'posties' who delivers messages across the site - with just a person's description to go on. The highlight this year was definitely the grand Saturday night display where fireworks were followed by the pirate boat being set on fire and raised to the ground. Acts headlining included; Faithless, Regina Spektor, Disclosure and 2ManyDJs and the weather held, apart from one stormy night.
But the most magical thing about being in the Garden is taking the time to explore off the beaten track - from the fairground to the lake to cubby holes in the wood land it is all about getting involved and lost amongst the madness.
