The Maple Leaf, the Canadian, fun-loving, sports-fest of a bar in Covent Garden – and beer brand Sleeman have linked up to run an inaugural Sleeman Table Football Challenge which is set to take place on the Wednesday 14th August.
The event, which will raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, is looking for 20 teams of two with the winning duo walking away with £100 in cash, two cases of Sleeman’s beer and the glory of the arena.
Competitions and giveaways will take place on the night, plus the Maple Leaf will also be serving up an array of typically moreish snacks, including its famous chicken wings (20 for £6), ribs, hotdogs, burgers, nachos and poutine (chips, cheese and gravy!).
To celebrate the start of registration for the competition, Brewery Founder and Chairman John Sleeman is making a special visit to the Maple Leaf on Thursday 11th July from 5pm – 6pm. During this “Beat the Sleeman” hour, John is offering to buy a beer to anyone who can beat him in a best out of three game.
