Simply stepping into the Turkish Embassy, in London, was enough to realise that Zeynep Kartal's LFW show was going to be all about elegance and glamour. As guest's evening dresses gracefully trailed the floor and music filled the rooms, an air of great grandeur flowed easily within the Embassy's walls. The collection itself- delicately romantic yet strikingly strong and powerfully feminine- played a superior role in really showing off those iconic Old Hollywood influences that just exude oh-so timeless sophistication.

Kartal chose to take styles we have all seen time and time again and re-capture what it is that makes them alluring to the fashionable eye. With tailored trousers and pussy-bow shirts Kartal revamped the classic femme-fatale iconography, giving the modern-day vamp her chance to show the world just how powerful she is. While echoing one of the silver screen's greatest character types, Kartal's women styled dewy, natural make-up, that added that effortless look. It was almost as if the collection was telling the tale of the contemporary siren from day-time to date-time. She is girly but she is no wallflower, you only need to look at her style to know that she is about to make her big debut.

The luxury feel complete with silk materials, lace and faux-fur added that extra layer of charm. The silhouettes radiated quintessential 1930s styles while Kartal put her own unique spin on these enduring trends making room for a new era of Marlene Dietrichs.

It is clear to see why the Zeynep Kartal name has become so adored by celebrities and aspiring starlets alike. After all she pours the passion for her craft into making beautiful pieces that truly stand the test of time. For AW17  its definitely time to embrace the life, the style and the attitude of Zeynep Kartal's leading silver screen siren.
