It might seem odd to match the words fierce and sophisticated or tribal and futuristic but this is precisely what Turkish designer Lug Von Siga managed to achieve with her exciting SS14 showcase at the Freemasons Hall this lunchtime.

What was most striking about the show was Von Siga's ability to create outfits that were both strikingly edgy and yet simultaneously polished; sleek monochrome dresses and fitted, bodycon mini skirts had an edge to them with bold recurring tribal print motifs, layers of fringing or sexy side cut outs. Amongst the monochrome shone gold and bronze metallic pieces paired with contrasting luxe or patent textures and more fringing, creating futuristic, multi layered and fashion forward outfits. All looks came with fabulous monochrome ankle strap heeled sandals, a trend which has been popular this year and looks set to stay for next season.

Hair was similarly sleek yet strong, with a style that can only be described as futuristic-meets-tribal-meets-ninja. Polished, glossy locks were pulled tightly back in tight t-partings and then in high black wound ponytails. Make-up matched this sharp futuristic look with high-shine smokey eyes and cheekbones.

Lug von Siga's SS14 collection is an incredibly sophisticated and polished collection with fierce elements of tribal, metallic and fringing creating really unique and distinctive pieces that I can't wait to see again.
