In recent years Matthew Miller’s signature style has grown from strength to strength making his A/W 13 show a highly anticipated event. Ironically the show opened with a slogan jumper ‘born to fail’, although I think this is the last thing that will happen to Matthew Miller any time soon.
The almost-all-black collection introduced an anarchic take on classic tailoring. The black colour theme was layered with smart white shirts and injected with colour by way of an orangey red. Attention to detail was key and this didn’t stop with the red colour continuing on the accessories, shoes and of course paint on the models hands.
Matthew Miller was amongst a few designers who decided to give us a preview of their womenswear collection at London Collections: Men, using both male and female models on the catwalk. If anything it gets us very excited for London Fashion Week next month.
