Tell us about your current release?
Over the past 4 years I have been working on my debut album 'November Storm'.
I wrote and recorded over 100 demo recordings for the album independently and collaboratively
in London with some exceptional writer/producers including my good friend and producer Alex Wells. The 12 tracks on November Storm are the result of over 6 years
of song-writing and experience, So I feel extremely proud to finally deliver this album to the public in January 2015.
What does 2015 have in order for you?
I will be launching the album in my hometown of Brighton at my favourite venue 'The Green Door Store' on the 31st of January. I hope to follow this up with shows around the UK with my new band as well as releasing more singles and videos online to grow my fan base. Ive already started writing for the second album,
so hopefully ill be able to share even more new material as the year progresses!
How would you describe your sound?
My sound tends to sway between indie/pop rock and a more laid back Acoustic sound with a closer vocal and more focus on the lyric, sometimes ill try and combine the two.
As I recorded the album I was listening to alot of 'The National' and Jeff buckley so theres definitely a strong influence in there for me anyway.
Where do you hope to be in ten years time?
Recording my 5th or 6th album in a bizarre location for my army of loyal fans.
If you could collaborate with anyone, who would it be?
Julian Casablancas. Ive always loved his lyrics, and the effortlessly cool vocal melodies he writes.
What do you think of the current music scene - are there any artists who truly stand out for you?
The artists that have truly stood out for me over the past year would have to be, Ben Howard, Paolo Nutini and Hozier. I think those guys are setting the bar
high for singer songwriters which is great, and i hope to see more artists of the same quality coming out of the woodwork.
We are Who's Jack magazine. Do you have a special Jack in your life?
Im not fortunate enough to have a Jack in my life, but id definitely like to be mates with Jack Johnson if someone could introduce us.
