It may seem like summer will never arrive, but mark my words it will... eventually. And when it does we have a massive calendar of annual summer events to look forward to!
One of my favourites is the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race, though notoriously tough to get a good viewing spot, there is such a great atmosphere around and it's so summery you just have to head down to the banks of the river!
This year I have a great tip for anyone wanting a good view and delicious lunch. Book yourself a riverside table at Thai Square Putney Bridge and you'll have your own calm spot to watch the action, away from the thousands of spectators lining River Thames.
Hailed by the great and the good as having one of the best restaurant views in the UK, it's the perfect spot for Saturday 24th
March to catch the early stages of the race.
And the race isn't all you can enjoy as Thai Square has such a great menu of Thai classics and lesser known dishes to try! The second floor of the restaurant will be live broadcasting all the action so you won't miss out on knowing who crossed the finish line first either.
If you find it all too darned exciting to watch sitting down over a civilised meal, not to worry, Thai Square Putney are offering up small portions of menu favourites on the riverbank including vegetarian and duck spring rolls and chicken satay with prices starting from just £1! You'll find Thai beers on offer too to compliment your race viewing.
If the right team wins and you're in the mood to celebrate there's no need to leave! You can stay put and party on with live music and resident DJs in the ground floor bar until 2am.
