The team is excited to open the doors to its new bakery at 71 Abbeville Road on Friday, 6th March.
Open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and light supper, the bakery will offer GAIL’s signature breads, pastries, cakes and sweets. The menu, overseen by Head Baker Roy Levy, includes French Dark and San Francisco sourdoughs, freshly baked croissants and pastries, cinnamon buns, sausage rolls and carrot cakes, as well as a selection of daily sandwiches and salads. All GAIL’s products are handmade in London with no artificial additives or preservatives, delivered fresh to the bakeries every morning.
Tom Molnar, co-founder of GAIL’s says: “We are thrilled to be opening in the heart of Clapham and to bring top quality bread to the neighbourhood. As soon as we saw the space we fell in love with it, and we are particularly excited to be opening in such a beautiful part of London.”
GAIL’s on Abbeville Road comprises a warm and welcoming, but minimalist interior, whilst adopting contemporary industrial design details throughout. Display tables and kitchen counters are marble-topped, while rustic timber flooring in the dining and counter area soften the cool marble and steel. The furniture in the bakery includes reclaimed chairs in the dining area and a blackened steel ‘high table’ overhung with bespoke pendant lights to softly illuminate the space.
