Next week you need to get yourself over to Kings Road and the surrounding areas to see the Chelsea in Bloom displays.
Each year all the shops, cafes, restaurants and bars get involved to put on a beautiful free floral display outside and sometimes inside each of their buildings.
This year Chelsea in Bloom is celebrating the RHS Chelsea Flower Show’s Centenary year. Now in its 8th year, the event will be taking a retrospective look at Chelsea through the ages, commemorating the area with fantastic floral displays. The retailers of the royal borough will compete to create the most imaginative and creative construction, formed entirely from fresh flowers and plants. They will then be judged by the official RHS Chelsea Flower Show judges.
2012 winners included a larger-than-life floral corgi at Ted Baker, an afternoon tea fit for a Queen at Liz Earle and a set of rosy royal guards at Hackett.
Not only are there a bunch of beautiful flowers to look at there are also some great freebies to grab too. Guests coming to Chelsea In Bloom can also enjoy a number of other activities in Sloane Square and the surrounding area. All are invited to take a FREE rickshaw tour of the Chelsea in Bloom entrants before heading to the pop-up champagne bar for a cool glass of bubbly. They can even try their hand at gardening at the plant-your-own nursery or pop into Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa for a ‘floral blow-dry’, in which a style of your choice will be finished off with a freshly cut flower.
If you are going to The Chelsea Flower show don't forget that you can get a free floral cocktail at JuJu.
