Living in London can be tough on our health and the endless partying followed by hungover working days often roll into one continual stream of feeling tired, dehydrated and pretty sluggish.

This non-stop lifestyle also takes a big toll on how we look resulting in grey, saggy, skin which looks pretty dull and lifeless.

Luckily, therefore, the city is armed with specialists ready to bring your body back to life through the treatments they offer – but how do you pick what to have done and where to have it? Beauty treatments can be hugely expensive so it’s important you find a salon which will actually help, rather than just leave you with a massive credit card bill.

We had a scan of the best places to go in London when you’re in need of a revamp and here are our top four picks.

Debbie Thomas

Debbie Thomas is a bit of a don when it comes to skin treatments and one visit will leave your skin feeling like it’s been peeled off your face, thoroughly cleaned, and carefully placed back on (without any pain).

Specialising in unique facials which are designed for each individual customer, she’s an expert at detecting what your skin needs. A big fan of Skinceuticals, Debbie says these products work because they penetrate the skin and concentrate on existing problem – such as clearing congestion - which leads to a clearer and brighter complexion, for the long term.

The experience isn’t a normal facial, forget the relaxing music, massage or aromatherapy oils – what you do get though is something that really works.

It’s more a medical than a beauty treatment and Debbie uses a combination of different treatments, such as hydrotherapy (removing dead skin cells and pumping in moisture) to improve your skin.

Debbie will also look at your entire diet and lifestyle and give you advice (in a non patronising way) on how to make small changes to improve your health and well being.

Karine Jackson

When it comes to hair and getting a new look you can't go wrong with Karine Jackson who specialises in ammonia-free organic colouring. This means the products aren’t packed full of the chemical toxins, found in most hair dyes, and are also eco-friendly.

As an expert in her field, Karine is a master at picking out the colour which will suit your skin tone and blending different shades together to find the perfect match. Best of all – you get a natural-looking colour which is also better for your hair and isn’t ruining the environment.

Karine holds the L’Oreal Colour Specialist Degree, putting her in the top 1% of L’Oreal colourists in the UK – and when you meet her it’s easy to see why. She’s not only exceptionally talented when it comes to creating a brand new look for you that works, she’s also warm, friendly and welcoming and is keen to spend time getting the right look for each customer.

Before anything happens you’ll be shown a range of different colour combinations which will help to give you the best end results possible.

Karine says she thinks, “London is where it’s at” for fashion and that’s why she set up in on Litchfield Street.

House of Rush

In fitting with the piece – Rush has recently had a major overhaul, become House of Rush and bought in Tina Farey, London Hairdresser of the Year, who is a specialist in colour and cutting.

It’s a great move for the salon chain and the new branches - You By Rush – are a stylish, professional and fashionable update for the brand.

Tina is the ultimate professional when it comes to choosing a new look – with both colour and a cut – and has got the right mix of listening to what someone wants and making it a reality. When going blonde, for example, she’ll use the right products for each hair type and techniques such as weaving in lighter strips to make a subtle, natural finish.

In the salon you’ll be made to feel at home and it’s decked out in calming colours to give you a relaxing break from the bustle outside.

Karine Jackson (so good she's in here twice)

Along with the organic hair treatments, you can also dip in for a facial at Karine’s salon and it should be a “must” on any stressed out Londoner’s to-do list. The beauty room is instantly calming and with a warmed bed and tranquil music you’re immediately reduced to a meditative state.

The facial is another tailor-made job so you’re only going to be treated for what your skin needs and for this one Dermalogica products are used.

As we hardly ever get enough sleep and spend our working week dashing around from tube, to work, to bars, spending an hour cutting off the outside world will do the world of good.

There’s also the added benefit of the Caci non-surgical face and body lift treatment which will visibly lift any sagging skin from your face cutting at least 10 years off your appearance (we like to think so anyway). It’s a good alternative to Botox and soothes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while zapping away clogged water giving you instant cheek bones.

That's right guys, forget holding out to wear those summer shorts you impulse brought in the heat of the moment. The sun may not re-appear until June but lets be honest we were so ready! So why not bring the beach indoors? Bank holiday is on the horizon so this means one thing only - friends, food and fun times. House parties have become those little gems that pop up once in a while to make us remember that crazy night after college or that unexpected gathering at our Uni flat that just well... happened.

Host your own Hawaiian tropics and get creative with a papier-mâché sun complete with inflatable chairs and palm trees. Who needs a BBQ outdoors when you have all the right gear sitting in your wardrobe at home. Surely your holiday indulgences deserve a good showing off rather than just one week on a European coast.

If you're feeling optimistic and want to add a sea breeze to the beach party open up the patio and dare to bare in the terrible rain. Turn up the heaters, have the fans at the ready and some very strong spotlights and voila - a beach party that will have you becoming quite fond of the bad weather and more often than not more than ready for that summer beach holiday.

We've got the visuals for Wiley's latest release 'Lights on', which show the need to have confidence in yourself. We're loving the sentiment of the track; but also, it's obviously about to give Wiley another radio smash hit. The don dada is on fire right now.  The track features Angel and Tinchy Stryder, and will be released on June 10th. Remixes will be provided by Benga, Sticky and BOT.

Wiley can now confirm details of a major UK tour which will culminate with a London show at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire.

This month will see Wiley hit the road for the 'Boy Better Know presents' tour alongside Skepta and JME which sold-out very quickly. He will then headline the 1Xtra Stage at the Reading and Leeds festivals in August before embarking upon a new headline tour:

7th ' Birmingham, O2 Academy 1
8th ' Manchester, Academy
10th ' Leeds, O2 Academy
13th ' Newcastle, O2 Academy
14th ' Nottingham, Rock City
16th ' Bournemouth, O2 Academy
17th ' London, O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire

Daughter are really making a mark at the moment, and no we've seen it, we think it only makes sense that they have covered the biggest song of the moment, 'Get Lucky' by those Parisian robots, Daft Punk.

Daughter have really, really made it their own. Elena Tonra's whispered vibrato has almost transformed the song into one of the band's own.

We're hearing metronomic, sparse beats, and watery guitar riffs.  Very sinister sounds are washing over the track, as opposed to the more upbeat sounds of Daft Punk. However, they have also retained a smattering of Daft Punk flare, as they should when covering anyone's music.

Have you heard the latest from those clever Disclosure brothers? No? Well you're in for a treat, because they've also just dropped some visuals to the track, which arguably, make it even better.

Some beautiful people doing amazing things in this video - we can't stop watching it.

The track is sure to be a summer smash, with big brit talent Eliza Doolittle coming out of the woodwork to feature. Gorgeous vocals, and incredible lyrics. Our favourites? "In your big house on the hill, where you keep your dollar bills..." and "Home is where the heart is, and i gave it to you in a paper bag. Even though it's tarnished, you told me it's the best you ever had. You got my secret combination, and i don't be giving that up easily." Gorgeous, lovely; the ecstacy of being in love.

Eliza has the voice, Disclosure have the beats. It's  win/win combination. We're happy.
