Wilkinson has just revealed the next single to be taken from his forthcoming album Hypnotic, is We Will Be. It features up-and-coming British vocalist, Matt Wills. Of the track, Wilkinson says, "I'm always trying to tread the line of making records that work on the radio but also in the club, which is a pretty tricky balance to strike! But for me this one has that big anthemic vocal before it drops into something pretty naughty for the clubs and festivals. The subject matter of the vocal is really inspired by all the bollocks going on in the world and politics now. Its about re-uniting and standing up together." We Will Be is available to buy and stream now here.
Kicking things off for 2017, Maryland-based band GUMP (Give Us More Power) offer their brand new single titled "War", premiered exclusively via Milk Studios.
In an era where citizens are concerned about their civil rights, safety, and social injustices, we (the people) look to music for encouragement and inspiration. Case in point? Just outside the US capital, GUMP is hitting all the right notes: a jazz rock style of hip-hop, highlighting live musical instruments, and with political commentary to boot, their latest single “War” is just what the doctor ordered for 2017.
While the title may suggest an attack on the opposition, the new cut takes more of an observant approach, backed by the band's trademark melodic instrumentation. Laced with both rugged riffs and the sweetest guitar lines, lead vocalist Uno Hype leads the way by not being afraid to tackle today's problems head on, addressing its causes and asking for people to fight the good fight in solidarity. The song eventually drifts in to a new direction, as we're greeted with an instrumental, filled with woozy key notes and sombre guitar lines, all held together by a steady drum beat, as Hype eases his way back in, reiterating his points made previously.
"War" serves as the band's lead single, which is featured on their upcoming EP 'Beer & Wine' - due for release March 2017.

Speaking to Clash Magazine, she says: "I took my opportunities, I own it, I deserve it and I'm worthy of it. It's taken sacrifices but it's just how it was supposed to be and I'm grateful for the lessons learned. I'm still growing and I have so much more music to bring to the table. Really I'm just getting started”.
Stay tuned and don't sleep on Iman, she's definitely around to stay!
With each devastatingly-candid single released, Amaroun has been building the foundations for their groundbreaking forthcoming album ‘Helmet’. The latest addition to the 2017 release comes in the form of ‘If This Is’: a slow-burning, lo-fi ballad that speaks of defeat in love- a subject that Amaroun is no stranger to.
At the heart of the singer-songwriter’s impending LP is the awakening of their sexual identity. ‘I didn’t know but I always knew. One day you just get brave and let yourself be. I was in love...exclusively in love with her. It came out in a stream of songs and then I leaped and told the rest, no restrictions.’
Therein lies the masterstroke of Amaroun’s music; a willingness to make themselves truly vulnerable in order to create something rare and important. And the artist hasn’t limited this approach just to the music, but also extended it the accompanying visuals. The deeply intimate ‘If This Is’ video was shot on a rooftop in Peckham outside the artist’s bedroom, using just an Iphone camera.
‘Helmet’ will be supported by a documentary, featuring poetry from Amaroun, as well as a handful of dates in Peckham. Keeping up appearances locally is something incredibly important to to the Peckham-based artist, being an integral part of the communities in both Peckham and Northampton- where Amaroun works on the annual Greenstone Festival, which provides a platform for other musicians.
You can catch Amaroun playing live in Peckham on the following dates:
