Old El Paso celebrates the launch of their new mini Stand N Stuff soft tacos with free 20-minute sittings at their mini pop-up restaurant in Southbank where you can try delicious mini Mexican tacos with max flavour in a unique environment.


Transport yourself out of the ordinary to a surprising Mexican haven and enjoy a unique experience as the Old El Paso taco tour takes a detour to delight diners at Riverside Grass, Southbank. Visitors will be greeted by a mini mariachi band & maître D mini Danny Trejo before being looked after by his larger than life staff, enjoying a mini taco meal with big flavours, for free.  Each sitting is offered on a first come first serve basis and will last for 20 minutes.

Urban beaches is officially 'A Thing' for us Londoners. The perfect marriage of escapism and stay-cation- they allow us to feel like we've had a little holiday but still get an Uber home.

EAST: Beach East at the Olympic Park

Pretend you're in Rio whilst watching the Olympics on your phone at this sandy oasis complete with obligatory deck chairs, ice cream and also fairground rides.


SOUTH: Brixton Beach Boulevard

A bit more than a location with added sand, the Brixton Beach Boulevard is £4 entry and open all the weekends that August has to offer. The beach is on a rooftop in this instance and has a Miami 80s theme. Also added into the mix are retro film screenings, sports broadcasts and lots of food.beach-image-2

SOUTH EAST: Southbank's beach is back

You get some water with this one, albeit the rather murky water of the Thames but water none the less. A firm favourite with any urban beach hopper this patch of sand sits right along side some great bars and restaurants so you can truly urban up your sandy experience. A Brazilian barbecue in a yellow tram is on hand as well as caiprinha's.


NORTH: Camden Beach!

A firm fave of ours down at The Roundhouse. Last year this was a storming success with live performances on in the evenings and an escape form the mental bustle that is Camden Market. This area get's great sun so it's one to run too on those clear days of the summer (all 4 of them). There's rum, ping pong, private beach huts, BBQ and free entry. Just don't forget your bucket and spade.



Well this is novel.. but then aren't most things in London these days!? 

This June a new charming floating market will pop up in the Merchant Square canal in Paddington.  This will be London’s largest floating market with a mix of 12 traditional canal boats selling a diverse mix of products and experiential activity.  The market runs from 16 to 19 June and will be located in the canal at Merchant Square, just 2 minutes walk from nearest tubes Paddington / Edgware Road.


There will be a variety of independent traders selling a curated mix of products, from vinyl, to fashion, art and craft.  Acclaimed vinyl store The Record Deck will be selling vintage and collectible records, whilst the Book Barge, an independent book shop on a narrow boat will be presenting their collection onboard. The Floating Showroom will provide workshops including t-shirt design and make your own terrarium as well as the Origami Poetry Café where guests can get a personalised poem and learn origami paper folding whilst enjoying a cup of tea and cakes.  The Village Butty will also be cruising along to Paddington bringing their eclectic floating village hall - a welcoming space where you can relax with a hot or cold drink, play a board game and listen to some live acoustic music.  The Herbal Barge is London’s first floating herbal apothecary, check out the clinic onboard this restored Dutch barge boat.  In addition hop aboard further boats to discover new art, jewellery and handmade scarves.  Visit The Littlest Canal Museum for an insight into the heritage of the canals in the capital.

The artisan-inspired doughnut is individually filled with the nation’s favourite hazelnut spread, NUTELLA® and dipped in rich chocolate icing and exquisitely decorated with a white chocolate swirl and caramelized hazelnuts.

To celebrate the launch of the new offering, Krispy Kreme is set to introduce ‘Hole in the Wall’– the ultimate pop up that offers Krispy Kreme and NUTELLA® fans an exclusive opportunity to taste the limited edition doughnut in a mini magical experience before it goes on sale nationwide.

Launching from Monday 9th May 2016, Hole in the Wall will be popping up in Krispy Kreme’s London, Holborn store and will give the public the chance to unlock a doughnut shaped hatch as they discover the magical secrets behind Krispy Kreme’s Nutty Chocolatta creation. Once the doughnut hatch is unlocked, guests will be presented with their very own limited edition Krispy Kreme branded box containing the new Nutty Chocolatta doughnut.

Krispy Kreme’s Chief Marketing Officer, Judith Denby says “We are excited to launch the unique Hole in the Wall pop-up that goes back to the roots of Krispy Kreme’s history. We hope fans enjoy eating the new Nutty Chocolatta doughnut as much as we have enjoyed making it.”

The wacky ‘Willy Wonka-esque’ experience costs £2.00 and all profits will go to Krispy Kreme’s supported charity, Teenage Cancer Trust. The pop up will be open for two weeks only, from 08:00 – 20:00 every day and the doughnut shaped hatch will disappear on Saturday 21st May 2016.

Made fresh daily, the limited edition Nutty Chocolatta doughnut will be available from all UK Krispy Kreme stores and cabinets from Friday 27th May – Sunday 4th September 2016.

Seafood lovers London Shell Co. are offering up a great option for Mother's day this year. Ditch the flowers or whatever else you've been buying on a yearly repeat and do something a little different.

London Shell Co are creating a subtly changing menu for both lunch and dinner based around old vs new England aboard floating restaurant, My Fair Lady on Regent’s Canal.

Siblings Harry and Leah Lobek match delicious rare wines with a carefully chosen seafood menu that involves classics such as oysters and clam chowders, simple food done really well and with an added understated flare.

The canal boat will take you from Camden to Little Venice, creating one London’s unforgettable dining experiences and during your dining you can expect poetry, a lovely introduction on what you'll be eating and drinking and music. The atmosphere is more than friendly and any Mum would be pleased as punch with the outing.

Inspired by the oyster bars and crab shacks of New England, Harry and Leah have focused on the culinary and maritime customs of the North Atlantic and its historic trade routes. Signature dishes include a lunchtime New England Clam Chowder (severed in hearty bread bowls) and an elegant seafood platter for the dinner sittings. Throughout the journey, Harry and Leah, as well as the menu’s food and wine suppliers (Wright Brothers and Hattingley Valley), share their relaxed and informed knowledge of the produce. A real delight for those interested in understanding where their food comes from.

Tickets are available at Grub Club and includes wine with each course for £40 per person for lunch and £60 for dinner.
