Hidden away just behind Bank Bankside is a gem of a Sunday hang out for those that like to indulge a little before the weekend is well and truly out.
OXBO, part of the Hilton Bankside is a cocoon of a restaurant, perfect for the upcoming winter months and with a roast offering to help you hibernate through them.
A buffet style starter that includes everything from ceviche through to sushi, ham, mighty lumps of beetroot and goats cheese salad, dips and flatbreads.
You can return as many times as you like to this first course offering whilst your Prosecco glass is never allowed to empty. We would suggest saving some room for the main event however - the roast.
We had the beef, which was perfectly pink with a Yorkshire as big as your head (ok my head, and as heads go mine isn't the largest but these Yorkshires are).
Once you are comfortably blurred from both food and unlimited Prosecco you can go up to the dessert counter full of mini little puds, penny sweets (including flying saucers) and cheese! Heaven.
All this for £40 a head - its a great option for large groups of friends that want to make an afternoon/evening of it. And after, if you feel you can manage you can have a roll around the Tate of St Paul's to work a little of your mammoth meal off!
Available every Sunday from 12pm- 3:30pm, it costs £28pp for the 3 courses, or £40pp including unlimited prosecco. Nestled in the heart of London’s Bankside, OXBO Bankside serves innovative British cuisine with a global twist using supplies from specialist producers and local traders at Borough Market. Full menu
