The AIM Independent Music Awards  have been announced with  Adele, Arctic Monkeys and Bring Me The Horizon all nominees.

Adele is nominated for Best Difficult Second Album alongside Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Friendly Fires and Toddla T as well as Most Played Independent act which lets face it, she should sail through.

Bjork gets a special award at the AIM Awards this year for Outstanding Contribution, though we think personally that her most recent album is a bit...... well crap.

Founder of Domino Records, Laurence Bell, will also be given a nod to with his award, the Pioneer.

The AIM Independent Music Awards are only for artists signed to independed labels, which of course is a nice change, they wil be held in London at Floridita on the 10th November.

You can watch the AIM Music Awards from the comfort of your own home on the good old BBC where it will be hosted by DJs Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens.
